How it works
From order to certificate, step by step. What you do, what we do, and what we keep on record.
Order
Choose a test and order online.
Pick a test on the tests page. Add any add-ons, then pay.
You get an order reference, for example CO-26-00031. Keep it: it goes on your vial.
Payment methods: To be confirmed
Pack and post
One sealed vial per test, as supplied.
What you do
- Write the order reference on the vial.
- Pack it so it cannot move.
- Post it with a tracked service.
Full guidance: sending your sample.
Receipt and logging
Every vial is matched to its order and given a sample ID.
What we do
- Match the parcel to your order reference.
- Log the vial with its own sample ID, for example S-26-00041.
- Record its condition and photograph it as received.
- Store it until analysis.
The sample photo appears on the verification record.
Analysis
Two techniques, each with one job.
Identity
LC-MS. We compare the measured molecular mass with the expected mass.
Purity
HPLC-UV. The main peak's share of the total peak area.
Content
HPLC-UV, against a reference standard. Reported in mg per vial.
The instrument's own export files are kept with the result.
Second-analyst review
No result leaves the lab on one person's word.
- A second analyst checks the data and the draft certificate.
- The analyst who ran your sample cannot approve it.
- Only after approval is the certificate issued.
Certificate
A PDF Certificate of Analysis for each sample.
- A report number, for example CL-26-00001.
- Your sample details, results, method and chromatogram.
- The names of the analyst and the reviewer.
- A QR code and a 12-character key, for example 7KQ2-M9X4-TPLA.
Verification
Anyone you share the certificate with can check it.
- Scan the QR code, or enter the report number on our verify page.
- They see our copy of the record, not the file they were sent.
- If a certificate is ever withdrawn, the record says so, with the date.
Public listing
Optional, and your choice for each order.
You can list a certificate on our public results page. Each entry links to its verification record.
The listing shows the certificate as issued. Nothing is edited for it.
Data integrity
The record behind every certificate is kept and fingerprinted.
- We keep the raw instrument files behind every result.
- Each stored file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint. Change one byte and the fingerprint changes.
- Issued certificates are never edited. A correction means a withdrawal and a new certificate.
